I wrote the poem first - and after some time, found a picture that would help explain the words that I wrote.

Douglas this is the first time I have seen and read this one. Did you paint it and write the poem too? All these years that I have looked at your work and liked it so much but I never realized until this time when I looked at all of your work longer, how really great it is. I can see the genius in your work now. Thank you so much.

About Douglas Beatenhead

Douglas Beatenhead

For the last twenty or thirty years of my life this is what I have created. I became interested in watercolors since I was very young. Now I'm beginning to find an interest in Acrylics too. I try very hard to put action and moods in my paintings. I also love to work with a lot of colors, and I try to make them deep and rich. Every painting I do takes days to arrive at a level of my satisfaction. It has become apparent to me that my paintings appear strange and different from many other watercolor works I've seen. I like to concentrate on new and different images that inspire intelligent and creative...
