About Douglas Beatenhead
My name is Douglas Deleath Beatenhead, and I was born on May 30th, in the year of 1952. The images you see are from decades of work. For the last twenty or thirty years of my life this is what I have created. I became interested in watercolors since I was very young. Now I'm beginning to find an interest in Acrylics too. I try very hard to put action and moods in my paintings. I also love to work with a lot of colors, and I try to make them deep and rich. Every painting I do takes days to arrive at a level of my satisfaction. It has become apparent to me that my paintings appear strange and different from many other watercolor works I've seen. I like to concentrate on new and different images that inspire intelligent and creative...

I like the colors and perspective of the trees and of course the lake or pond...favorite!

Hello, Susanna,...it's so nice to hear from you again. Lately, I have been so busy with other trivial stuff, that I've found it had to concentrate on my painting. However, I am far from giving up-and I have many new ideas-I hope you'll see in the coming future if you sometimes look at my pictures. I love the work that you do - who wouldn't love you art - am I'm always fascinated when I see you've done something new. Take care, Susanna, and my God bless you and all who love you!
