Painting - Water On Paper
Description
This idea, now painting, was conceived in my mind for the last 10 or 12 years. I decided to give my idea an expression with my watercolors. I dedicate this work to James Prescott Joule (24 December 1818 11 October 1889). He was of many things, an English Physicist. Joule studied the nature of heat, and discovered its relationship to mechanical work and energy. His work led to the theory of the conservation of energy, which then led to the development of the first law of thermodynamics. His contributions to the field of physics led to new and more advance discoveries.

I don't aways scan though. When I take pictures, I do a lot of improvements that way also.
Douglas Beatenhead replied:
Thank you very much for your reply, Susanna Katherine. You give me some hope and to continue painting! Thanks again.

I scan them then adjust the color and exposure which can be done in Windows Photo Gallery.

This painting made me think because it is indeed different and interesting. I admire that it is all from your mind. I want to thank you for all your encouragement in my work...my biggest (and only) fan.
Douglas Beatenhead replied:
Thank you very much for those nice words, Susanna. However, I truely believe you are the real artist because of those absolutely beautiful paintings you create. They are so pleasing to the mind and eye. However, my real field of life lies alot in my science and writing--I understand much of modern physics including a mathemetical understing of quantum mechanics, relativity, chemistry and cosmology. I am also a published science fiction writer--enough of that. But I really do take my paintings seriously and I enjoy painting when something really interesting occurs to me. But I would like to ask you--how do you re-create your paintings on FAA. I have a cheap little digital camera that I take pictures of my paintings and then upload them to FAA. Some day I would love to have my paintings professionally scanned and then uploaded to FAA, showing the real colors, no distortions and with better resolutions. Again, Susanna, will you tell me your secret of how you display your genius on FAA?
